Welcome to Kindergarten at St. Madeleine Sophie School

   This is such an exciting time in a child's life filled with questions and so many new experiences.  With each excitement also comes some fear and doubt.  At SMS, we hope to calm those fears and erase those doubts and replace them with discovery and learning.  

 Kindergarten at SMS includes math, reading, writing, phonics, science, social studies, religion, physical education, art, music, spanish, and technology. While the program is an academic program, the children will experience interactive play and have many opportunities to develop their social and emotional skills. Everyday the children will be involved in many activities that will encourage them to think, create, and discover. Our hope is that excitement to learn will continue as the children grow and experience all that SMS has to offer this year and beyond.

 St. Madeleine Sophie School is a very special place where your child will be nurtured and encouraged to be their very best. Our small, family-like environment ensures that your child will get all the attention he or she needs, not only from teachers and staff, but other students as well. The fifth grade students take great pride in being buddies to our kindergartners. It won't be long before you are hearing your child talking about them as well as their classmates.
