Hello, Welcome to First grade at Saint Madeleine Sophie School. My name is Miss Foster and I am the classroom teacher for first grade. Mrs. Brenner is our classroom assistant.

First grade is a very important school year for your child.  It is a time when your child begins a major transition in his/her intellectual growth.  He/she begins to approach the world more logically.  To a large extent, your child’s response to school in the years ahead will depend upon his/her first grade experience and training.
